The event will be a show-class where Ney Piacentini will present excerpts from all the pieces of Companhia do Brass, interspersed with explanations about how the scenes were conceived from the point of view of acting. Ney Piacentini is an actor in the Companhia do Brass and a professor of acting poetics at the School of Communication and Arts at the University of São Paulo. The book O Ator Dialético: 20 anos de aprendizado na Companhia do Latão, nominated for the Aplauso Brasil 2018 Award, is the result of his PhD in the ECA-USP Graduate Program in Performing Arts. Author also of the books Eugênio Kusnet: of the actor to the professor and Stanislavski Revivido (organized with Paulo Fávari). He won the Questão de Crítica-RJ (Best Ensemble) and Cooperativa Paulista de Teatro awards for his contribution to the São Paulo Theater (both in 2013). He was nominated, among others, for the APCA (Paulista Association of Art Critics - Best Actor 2016 for his Solo Mirrors) award. The book's launch is organized by researcher Monique Lima and Professor Sávio Cavalcante, with support from the Postgraduate Program in Sociology.
