Chamada para uma vaga de Pesquisador de Pós-Doutorado / Call for a postdoctoral researcher position

• O Centro de Estudos de Opinião Pública (CESOP) da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) e o Núcleo de Pesquisa em Políticas Públicas (NUPPS) da Universidade de São Paulo abrem a presente chamada de candidaturas para 1 (uma) bolsa de pós-doutorado (PD) para atuar em pesquisa sobre a Qualidade da Democracia no Brasil, no âmbito do Projeto de Auxílio à Pesquisa “A Qualidade da Democracia Brasileira: representação política, partidos e o Sistema de Integridade” (Processo FAPESP nº 18/02738-0), sob a coordenação da Professora Dra. • Essa bolsa de PD é parte de projeto com conteúdo pré-aprovado pela FAPESP, cujo objetivo principal é o de analisar a qualidade e o funcionamento do sistema democrático brasileiro enfocando duas de suas principais dimensões: a primeira diz respeito à representação política e a dinâmica do regime democrático; e a segunda que trata de investigar os mecanismos de fiscalização e controle do abuso de poder.
• A bolsa de PD em questão será alocada junto à primeira dimensão do projeto, que diz respeito ao funcionamento da democracia, com ênfase no sistema representativo e nas democracias partidárias, e nas transformações recentes da política democrática em perspectiva comparada. Em linhas gerais, o projeto a ser apresentado deve conter duas orientações que interconectam instituições políticas formais e o comportamento dos individuos: a primeira é contextual institucional, com o objetivo de analisar mecanismos e instituições que produzem a accountability democrática, como os efeitos de sistemas eleitorais específicos, as regras de organização dos sistemas partidários, o volume e a natureza das alternativas que se apresentam em eleições. A segunda orientação diz respeito ao comportamento político e eleitoral, visando avaliar o impacto dos contextos comparados institucionais eleitorais e partidários sobre as escolhas e incentivos dos indivíduos com relação às instituições e ao funcionamento da democracia. Os dados da coleção do Comparative Study of Electoral Systems Project (www.cses.org), da qual este projeto faz parte, devem ser necessariamente utilizados na realização da pesquisa. O bolsista selecionado deverá envolver-se com a participação em eventos científicos, publicações, com as atividades acadêmicas presenciais e semipresenciais do CESOP e do IFCH/UNICAMP, incluindo eventualmente a realização de disciplinas associadas ao tema para alunos de graduação e pós-graduação.
• A bolsa de Pós-doutorado é concedida e regulamentada pela Fundação de Amparo de Apoio à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP), e visa a reforçar os quadros dos núcleos de pesquisa por meio do engajamento de jovens doutoras (es) em atividades de ensino, pesquisa, extensão e, eventualmente, de orientação. A bolsa tem duração de 12 meses, renováveis por mais 12 meses. O valor atual é R$ 7.373,10 mensais livres de impostos, mais recursos de reserva técnica de 15% do valor anual da bolsa. • 2. Inscrições:
• As inscrições estão abertas a partir do dia 26/07/2021 até o dia 06/09/2021. Os (as) interessados(as) deverão encaminhar um e-mail intitulado “Bolsa Pós-Doutorado” ao endereço eletrônico cesop@unicamp.br, com cópia para racael@unicamp.br, anexando um dossiê contendo os seguintes documentos: 
• i) Currículo Lattes devidamente atualizado ou Curriculum Vitae, se estrangeiro;
• ii) Histórico escolar de pós-graduação completo, com os nomes das disciplinas por extenso, do qual constem as aprovações e eventuais reprovações ou trancamentos de matrícula do(a) candidato(a), emitido como documento oficial (com carimbo e assinatura ou com código de autenticidade); 2.1 O histórico escolar deve conter os critérios de aprovação (nota mínima) ou, alternativamente, declaração da instituição informando quais são os critérios.
• iii) Certificado de conclusão do doutorado;
• iv) Projeto de Pesquisa, seguindo as regras de projetos Fapesp http://fapesp.br/270#anexo1. O projeto, em no máximo 20 páginas, deve conter (i) Folhas de rosto (duas, sendo uma em português e outra em inglês) contendo título do projeto de pesquisa proposto e resumo; (ii) enunciado do problema; (iii) resultados esperados; (iv) desafios científicos e tecnológicos e os meios e métodos para superá-los; (v) cronograma de execução do projeto; (vi) disseminação e avaliação dos resultados; (vii) outros apoios (se houver); (viii) bibliografia.
• 3. Processo de seleção
• O processo de seleção ocorrerá em duas fases. A primeira consistirá na análise dos documentos entregues pelos(as) candidatos(as). Os (as) aprovados(as) serão convocados(as)para a segunda fase do processo, que consistirá em uma entrevista oral, a ser realizada por banca de pesquisadores do Projeto via Skype, Google Meet ou ferramenta similar. Os respectivos links serão encaminhados aos (às) selecionados(as) para a segunda fase pela equipe do Projeto.

• Postdoctoral Scholarship thematic projet “The quality of Brazilian democracy: political representation, parties and the integrity system”  Call for a postdoctoral researcher position
• 1. The Center for Public Opinion Studies (CESOP) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and the Center for Public Policy Research (NUPPS) at the University of São Paulo, open this call for applications for 1 (one) postdoctoral scholarship (PD) to act in research on the Project “The Quality of Brazilian Democracy: political representation, parties and the Integrity System” (Process FAPESP nº 18 / 02738-0), under the direction of Professor Rachel Meneguello.

• This PD scholarship is part of a project with content pre-approved by FAPESP, whose main objective is to analyse the quality and functioning of the Brazilian democratic system focusing on two of its main dimensions: the first concerns political representation, with an emphasis on electoral and interest organization institutions; and the second, which seeks to investigate the mechanisms of inspection and control of the abuse of power.
• The PD scholarship in question will be allocated to the first dimension of the project, which concerns the functioning of democracy, with an emphasis on the representative system and party democracies, and on the recent transformations of democratic politics in a comparative perspective. The project must contain two guidelines that interconnect formal political institutions and the behavior of individuals: the first is institutional contextual, with the objective of analyzing mechanisms and institutions that produce democratic accountability, such as the effects of electoral systems, the organization rules of party systems, the volume and nature of the alternatives in elections. The second orientation concerns political and electoral behavior, aiming to assess the impact of electoral institutions and party contexts on the choices and incentives of individuals in relation to institutions and the functioning of democracy. Data from the collection of the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems Project (www.cses.org), of which this project is a part, must necessarily be used in carrying out the research. The selected scholarship holder must be involved in participating in scientific events, publications, and conducting disciplines associated with the topic for undergraduate and graduate students.
• The selected candidate is also expected to participate in the research activities of the Thematic Project (whose headquarters are CESOP, at UNICAMP, and NUPPs, at USP Butantã), such as seminars and study groups (including presential activities). The Postdoctoral fellowship is granted abd regulated by the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP) and aims to reinforce the staff of the research centres through the engagement of young doctor (s) in teaching and research activities. The scholarship lasts for 12 months, renewable for another 12 months. The current value is R$ 7,373.10 taxfree monthly, plus technical reserve resources of 15% of the annual scholarship amount.
• 2. Registration: Registration is open from 07/26/2021 until 09/6/2021. Interested parties should send an e-mail entitled “Post-Doctoral Scholarship” to the electronic address cesop@unicamp.br, with a copy to racael@unicamp.br, with a dossier containing the following documents: i) Curriculum Vitae for foreigners; ii) Complete postgraduate school history (with stamp and signature or with an authenticity code); 2.1 The transcript must contain the approval criteria (minimum grade) or a statement from the institution stating what the criteria are. iii) Certificate of completion of the doctorate; iv) Research Project, compatible with the research area of the Thematic Project, and following the rules of Fapesp projects http://fapesp.br/270#anexo1. The project, in a maximum of 20 pages, must contain (i) Cover pages containing the title of the proposed research project and abstract; (ii) statement of the problem; (iii) expected results; (iv) scientific and technological challenges and the means and methods to overcome them; (v) project execution schedule; (vi) dissemination and evaluation of results; (vii) other support (if any); (viii) bibliography. 
• 3. Selection process:

The selection process will be carried out in two stages. The first will consist of the analysis of the documents delivered by the candidates. Those approved will be invited to the second stage of the process, which will consist of an interview, to be carried out by researchers from the Project via Skype, Google Meet, or similar tool. Results will be published at the following sites: www.cesop.unicamp.br and http://nupps.usp.br. The respective links will be forwarded to those selected for the second phase by the Project team.
