Oswaldo M. E. do Amaral

He holds a degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the same institution and a PhD in Political Science from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). In 2008, he completed PhD with funding from Capes at the Latin American Center / Brazilian Studies Program (LAC / BSP) of the University of Oxford. In 2011, he returned to the LAC / BSP as a researcher-visitor. In 2014, he was visiting professor at the Ibero-American Institute of the University of Salamanca. In 2015, he was a visiting scholar at the Kellogg Institute at the University of Notre Dame. Since 2012, he is a professor at the Department of Political Science at Unicamp. He is currently coordinator of the Latin America Political Parties and Systems Research Group (Gipsal) of the Latin American Political Science Association (Alacip) and is a member of the board of directors of the Brazilian Association of Political Science (ABCP).
